Expansion of regulated parking in the District of Horta-Guinardó
As of April 6 signalling works will begin for the implementation of the expansion of the regulated parking zone in the Horta-Guinardó District. These actions are aimed at extending the AREA residents' zone known as VH Zone.
Expansion of the VH Zone
This action will regulate parking on the roadway between the limits of carretera de Sant Cugat, c. del Sinaí, c. de Judea and paseo Vall d'Hebrón; residents between the limits of c. de Cànoves, c. de Viver, c. de Sagàs, c. de Saldes and c. de Nazaret; residents between the limits of c. de la Ceràmica and the limits of c. de la Ceràmica; residents between the limits of c. de la Ceràmica and the limits of c. de la Ceràmica and the passages Violeta, Blau, Rosa, Groc and Blanc de Montbau; and residents between the limits of c. de la Armonia, Pl. Anna Gironella, avda. Arturo Mundet, c. Paulo Freire and Passeig de la Vall d'Hebron, so that residents will have priority when parking and will form part of the current VH Zone.
The spaces to be regulated with this extension are 301 new Green spaces and are identified with green paint. This means that, with the aim of prioritising residents' parking, non-resident vehicles in the VH Zone will only be able to park for a maximum of two hours within the regulation hours indicated on the corresponding vertical sign and with the Green Area Rate that corresponds to the vehicle's environmental label.
In addition, it is planned to create 78 new Motorbike parking spaces and 3 new DUM parking spaces.
Information for residents
All residents of this extension who own a vehicle registered to their home will be able to park in the green parking spaces of the VH Zone identified on the vertical sign corresponding to the Resident Rate that corresponds to the environmental label of their vehicle.
From the second half of April, residents registered in the zone who own a car with a Barcelona address will not need to make any formalities; they will receive a letter at their home address informing them of their resident zone and an information leaflet on how to use the parking space as residents.
Obtaining tickets
To obtain on-street parking tickets as residents, users are recommended to use the free ONaparcar residents app. With this application it is possible to obtain tickets from one day until the end of the year at the latest. As it is a digital ticket, it can be checked securely and in real time by the parking attendant's device and therefore it is not necessary to use a parking meter or place a paper ticket in the vehicle. However, if necessary, a receipt can be printed out for the payment made.
Implementation schedule
The planned implementation schedule is as follows:
• 04/06 - 04/13 Vertical pre-signalling in the street indicating the dates on which parking will not be allowed in order to carry out the signalling works in each street.
• 04/14 - 05/10: Horizontal signalling work (painting of the new parking spaces in the street), vertical signalling (installation of the vertical regulation signs) and installation of parking meters, according to the dates established for each street.
• 04/19 - 04/26: Postal delivery of information letters to residents included in the expansion of the VH Zone.
• 05/10/2021: Activation of the new parking spaces in the VH Zone.
