Ampliació de l'estacionament regulat als barris de La Guineueta i Verdun

As of 12 September, signalling works will begin on the expansion of the Zone 32 regulated parking zone in the La Guineueta and Verdun neighbourhoods of the Nou Barris District.

Expansion of Zone 32

This action will regulate parking on the road between the limits formed by Pg. d'Urrutia, Pg. de Fabra i Puig, c. de Vilalba dels Arcs, Pl. de Karl Marx, Via Favència, Via Júlia, Pl. de la República and Pg. de Verdum, so that residents of the neighbourhoods of La Guineueta and Verdun will have priority when parking and will form part of Zone 32.

The spaces to be regulated with this extension are 1,547 new Green spaces and are identified with green paint. This means that, with the aim of prioritising residents' parking, non-resident vehicles in Zone 32 will only be able to park for a maximum of two hours within the regulation timetable indicated on the corresponding vertical sign and at the corresponding Green zone rate according to the vehicle's environmental label.

It is also planned to create 223 new Motorbike parking spaces, 153 new DUM parking spaces and 82 Blue parking spaces.

Information for residents

All residents of this extension who have a registered vehicle at home will be able to park in the green spaces in Zone 32, which are identified on the vertical sign with the corresponding Resident Tariff according to the environmental label of their vehicle.

Thus, residents registered in the zone who own a car registered in Barcelona will not need to make any arrangements. Between 27 September and 11 October they will receive a letter at their home address informing them of their resident zone and an information leaflet on how to use the parking space as a resident.

In the case of new residents registered within the limits of this extension and who are entitled to park in the AREA at the resident rate, they can apply for their resident parking rights at the Barcelona City Council Virtual Office, by calling 010 or, by appointment, at the B:SM Citizen Service Points.

In the case of residents registered within the limits of this extension and who are the main driver of a company vehicle or maintain a commercial contract to provide services, if autonomous; or who are the main driver of a vehicle under a renting, leasing or stable rental regime of more than three months, either in his name or on behalf of the company for which he works or with which he has a commercial contract for the provision of services, case of being autonomous, must expressly request their resident parking rights at the Barcelona City Council Virtual Office or, by appointment, at the B:SM Citizen Service Points.

Obtaining tickets

To obtain resident parking tickets, users are recommended to use the free ONaparcar residents mobile application. With this application it is possible to obtain tickets from one day until the end of the year at the latest. As it is a digital ticket, it can be checked securely and in real time by the parking attendant's device and therefore it is not necessary to use a parking meter or place a paper ticket in the vehicle. However, if necessary, a receipt can be printed out for the payment made.

Implementation schedule

The planned implementation schedule is as follows:
- 12/09- 19/09: Vertical pre-signalling on the street indicating the dates on which parking will not be allowed in order to carry out the signage works on each street.
- 20/09 - 16/10: Horizontal signalling works (painting of the new parking spaces in the street), vertical signalling (installation of the vertical regulation signs) and installation of parking meters, according to the dates established for each street.
