Pilot Test to Promote Coexistence in the Use of Public Space

Starting 2 June, a pilot test will come into effect in the VH residential zone (covering the neighbourhoods of Montbau and Sant Genís dels Agudells), which will modify the regulation hours for non-resident vehicles. Aimed at improving coexistence between local residents and visitors, the new regulation period for non-residents will extend from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday to Friday on working days.

The measure seeks to manage the demand for on-street parking, encouraging a fairer use of available space and promoting more sustainable mobility.

The parking schedule for residents will remain unchanged, continuing as usual from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on working days, Monday to Friday.

This pilot initiative stems from the need for the AREA system to continuously adapt in order to meet the demands of a city in constant evolution and transformation.
