Motorcycles

Purpose

Parking spaces regulated as AREA Motos are intended to provide designated on-street parking areas for motorcycles and mopeds, free of charge.

These spaces, delineated by white horizontal markings, contribute to the organization of public space and promote safety, cleanliness, and harmonious coexistence between vehicles and pedestrians.

Parking Conditions

Only vehicles with three wheels or fewer are permitted to park in these spaces, and they must at all times comply with the limits defined by the horizontal markings.

Parking is also permitted in areas specifically painted for this purpose, even where vertical signage is not present.

The parking of any other type of vehicle is not permitted.

Number of Spaces

At present, there are approximately 95.000 designated on-street parking spaces in Barcelona reserved for motorcycles and mopeds.

Rates

Parking in these spaces is free of charge and does not require prior reservation.
