Expansion of the regulated parking in Zone 14
As of 3 October, signalling works will begin on the extension of the regulated parking zone Zone 14 in the Pedralbes neighbourhood of the Les Corts district.
Expansion of Zone 14
This action will regulate parking on the road between the limits formed by c. de Montevideo, avda. d'Espasa, c. de Bosch i Gimpera, c. del Doctor Francesc Darder, c. del Marquès de Mulhacén, pg. de Manuel Girona, avda. de Pedralbes, ctra. d'Esplugues and c. de Castellet, which will become part of AREA Zone 14.
The squares that are regulated with this extension are 349 new Green squares and are identified with green paint. This means that, with the aim of prioritising residents' parking, non-resident vehicles in Zone 14 will only be able to park for a maximum of two hours within the regulation timetable indicated on the corresponding vertical sign and at the corresponding Green area rate according to the vehicle's environmental label.
In addition, it is planned to create 117 new Motorbike parking spaces and 10 new DUM parking spaces.
Information for residents
All residents of this extension who have a vehicle registered at their home address will be able to park in the green spaces in Zone 14, which will be identified on the corresponding vertical sign with the Resident Tariff that corresponds to the environmental label of their vehicle.
Thus, residents registered in the zone who own a car registered in Barcelona will not need to make any arrangements, as from 17 October they will receive a letter at their home address informing them of their resident zone and an information leaflet on how to use the parking space as a resident.
In the case of new residents registered within the limits of this extension and who are entitled to park in the AREA at the resident rate, they can apply for their resident parking rights at the Barcelona City Council Virtual Office, by calling 010 or, by appointment, at the B:SM Citizen Service Points.
In the case of residents registered within the limits of this extension and who are the main driver of a company vehicle or maintain a commercial contract to provide services, if autonomous; or who are the main driver of a vehicle under a renting, leasing or stable rental regime of more than three months, either in his name or on behalf of the company for which he works or with which he has a commercial contract for the provision of services, case of being autonomous, must expressly request their resident parking rights at the Barcelona City Council Virtual Office, by calling 010 or, by appointment, at the B:SM Citizen Service Points.
Obtaining tickets
To obtain resident parking tickets, users are recommended to use the free ONaparcar residents mobile application. With this application it is possible to obtain tickets from one day until the end of the year at the latest. As it is a digital ticket, it can be checked securely and in real time by the parking attendant's device and, therefore, it is not necessary to use the parking meter or place a paper ticket in the vehicle. However, if necessary, a receipt can be printed out for the payment made.
Implementation schedule
The planned implementation schedule is as follows:
- 03/10 - 10/10: Vertical pre-signalling on the street indicating the dates on which parking will not be allowed in order to carry out the signalling works on each street.
- 11/10 - 06/11: Horizontal signalling works (painting of the new parking spaces in the street), vertical signage (installation of the vertical regulation signs) and installation of parking meters, according to the dates established for each street.
