Objective
Give full priority, on an exclusive basis, to the parking of vehicles belonging to residents of the area. These are very specific zones with such a high infrastructure deficit that it justifies making parking exclusive to residents only. There are Exclusive Resident parking spaces in the Ciutat Vella district, in the old town of Gràcia, in the old town of Sarrià, in Camp de l'Arpa and in El Carmel.
In these areas, vehicles belonging to authorized residents of the zone indicated on the signage may park, provided they identify themselves with the corresponding mandatory time permit, either in paper or digital format, which may be valid for one day or for several days. Both the paper and digital permits indicate the resident’s zone and the license plate of the parked vehicle, identifying it as an authorized vehicle.

Currently there are three thousand Residents-only spaces available.
Delimitation of zones
Currently there are 35 resident zones, Residents-only and mixed use. As a resident, will be assigned to a specific zone and will only be able to park with resident rate in the authorized AREA zone. Consult the specific details of each AREA zone and download the maps in pdf by clicking here.
Fees
For residents:
The base component of the tariff is €0,20/day with a máximum of €1/week, for all vehicles, of any approved environmental distinctive and without an environmental distinctive, with the Resident parking right granted and for the months from January to December, including August.
The City Council may limit the number of parking operations on Pollution Episode days.

For non-residents:
No fee applies. Parking is allowed freely from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. in exclusive zones with operating hours from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., except in the Ciutat Vella District, where exclusivity applies 24 hours a day.
