As of 27 June, signalling work will begin for the creation of a new regulated parking zone in the Horta neighbourhood (streets below Pg. de la Vall d'Hebron) in the Horta-Guinardó district, which will be called Zone 33.

New Zone 33

This action will regulate parking on the road between the limits formed by Rambla del Carmel, Av. de l'Estatut de Catalunya, Pg. de la Vall d'Hebron, C. de Mont-ral, Pg. de Fabra i Puig, C. de Petrarca and C. del Llobregós, so that residents of the Huerta neighbourhood (streets below Pg. de la Vall d'Hebron) will have priority when parking and will form part of the new Zone 33.

The parking spaces regulated by this extension are 1,520 new Green spaces and are identified with green paint. This means that, with the aim of prioritising residents' parking, non-resident vehicles in Zone 33 will only be able to park for a maximum of two hours within the regulation timetable indicated on the corresponding vertical sign and at the Green zone rate that corresponds to the vehicle's environmental label.

In addition, it is planned to create 1,545 new Motorbike parking spaces, 110 new DUM parking spaces and 95 new Blue parking spaces.

Information for residents

All residents of this extension who own a vehicle registered to their home address will be able to park in the Green parking spaces in Zone 33, as identified on the vertical sign corresponding to the Resident Rate that corresponds to the environmental label of their vehicle.

Thus, residents registered in the zone who own a car registered in Barcelona will not need to make any arrangements; from 11 July they will receive a letter at their home address informing them of their resident zone and an information leaflet on the use of parking as a resident.

New residents who are registered within the limits of this extension and who are entitled to park in the AREA at the resident rate can apply for their resident parking rights at the Barcelona City Council Virtual Office, by calling 010 or by making an appointment at the B:SM Citizen Service Points.

Residents who were registered in Zone 29 and are now in Zone 33

Residents of the streets within the boundaries of Av. de l'Estatut de Catalunya, C. de Salses, C. de Lloret de Mar, C. d'Horta, C. dels Fontanet and C. de Potro, who until now were assigned to Zone 29, will now be included in the new Zone 33.
In this case, all residents of this area who own a vehicle registered at their home already enjoyed the possibility of parking in the green spaces of Zone 29 and, from 1 August 2022, they will be assigned to Zone 33.
These residents will not need to make any type of management or modification, since with the AREA resident parking rights they currently have, they will be able to continue to obtain parking tickets under the same conditions as before. And, if you have resident parking tickets for Zone 29, from 1 August 2022, they will be automatically transferred to Zone 33.

Obtaining tickets

To obtain resident on-street parking tickets, it is recommended that users use the free ONaparcar residents mobile application. With this app it is possible to obtain tickets from one day until the end of the year at the latest. As it is a digital ticket, it can be checked securely and in real time by the parking attendant's device and, therefore, it is not necessary to use the parking meter or place a paper ticket in the vehicle. However, if necessary, a receipt can be printed out for the payment made.

Implementation schedule 

The planned implementation schedule is as follows:
- 27/06- 04/07: Vertical pre-signalling in the street indicating the dates on which parking will not be allowed in order to carry out the signage works in each street.
- 05/07 - 29/07: Horizontal signalling work (painting of the new parking spaces in the street), vertical signalling (installation of the vertical regulation signs) and installation of parking meters, according to the dates established for each street.
- 11/07 - 22/07: Mailing of information letters to residents included in this new Zone 33.
- 01/08/2022: Activation of the new Zone 33 spaces.
